On 19 February 1942, war came to Australia, and has been dubbed the 'Pearl Harbour' of Australia.
Unlock the Past has an organised ship's cruise for the 70th anniversary commemoration of the bombing of Darwin which will come to Darwin and tour Northern Territory sites.
As a flow on from the above event, when the cruise comes to Darwin, a Seminar has been arranged in partnership with the Northern Territory Library. The proposal for the Seminar has not been finalised but this is to just give you a taste of the planning so far for this Darwin event.
This seminar with Shauna Hicks and Rosemary Kopittke is being organised in association with the Northern Territory Library and the Genealogical Society of the Northern Territory.Planning so far:

In conjunction with the Northern Territory Library and the Family History Centre of the LDS Church in Darwin, we are organising a one day seminar for Saturday 24th March.
The speakers are Daniel Poffenberger and Todd Knowles, researchers from the Family History Centre in Salt Lake City, Utah (USA); both these speakers are calling into Darwin on their way to the Adelaide Congress.

the 1940 census, which you've probably already heard will be free on Ancestry.com and elsewhere;
